Based of a cookie my grandmother used to make me, these are my go to cookie for myself when feeling in need of a cookie. They're soft and moist and the chocolate gives them that guiltiness that all cookies need. I love them for road trips and travel.
I'm pretty much deeming today the end of summer as I will no longer let myself buy any nectarines. (I just hate it when you buy a nectarine out of season and it tastes like nothing, such a disappointment.)
We had four large nectarines hanging in our kitchen for the weekend and it was time for them to be used before going bad. I deemed nectarine goat milk ice cream and a mini-nectarine cobbler to be an appropriate use of the final nectarines of summer 2011.
Adapted from Simply Gluten Free's Apricot Almond Tart, which is now quite possibly one of my favorite desserts because of how light and delicious it is.
This adaptation is quite the opposite. It's heavy (in a good way), rich, and one slice is all the dessert you need. For my tastes, this is like a rich chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. A wonderful indulgence but not an everyday treat.
Gluten Free Girl called for an internet-wide Pie Party and well, I can't resist a chance to make pie, so I made a Blueberry one!
This is NOT a healthy recipe. So lets just start with that. It's full of ooey gooey, sugar-y, buttery-, chocolate-y goodness and will not help any part of your health except perhaps your occasional emotional need for a guilt-FULL treat.
