Sugar Free Apple Pie
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sweet white rice flour
- 2 tbsp tapioca flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp all spice
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 1 1/2 granny smith apples, peeled and sliced
- 3 gala apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 gluten free pie crusts
- 1 tbsp cold butter
Make
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, sweet white rice flour, tapioca flour, and spices.
Place the apple slices in a large bowl and sprinkle the flour and spice mixture over the apples.
To combine, toss by hand to coat all of the slices.
Place the apples in one pie crust.
Break up the butter into small pieces and place pieces over the apples.
Place the second pie crust on top of the first and pinch to set sides.
With a sharp knife, cut a cross on the top of the pie to let air escape.
Bake in oven for about 45 minutes or until crust has browned and filling is bubbly and soft.
