Back in 2010 we had the fortunate opportunity to go to a wedding reception for one of my best friends from college in Austin, Texas. This was one of my very first trips after going gluten free, so food was at the top of my list on lodging considerations! My friend recommended the South Congress area as fun neighborhood to stay in. So our search was on.
We came across Verde Camp by searching for lodging on Google Maps and we're so pleased with it when we arrived. We had our very own little stand alone cottage in an adorable residential neighborhood. It was furnished with the most adorable decor imaginable and one of our favorite touches were the shelves and tables made using pipes and wooden boards. The cottage had a small kitchen which was perfect for cooking our own meals. Although with all the amazing options in Austin, eating out wasn't really a problem. Our cottage was a 1 bedroom and was just the right size for the two of us. Perhaps the best part of Verde Camp is how homey our cottage felt.
So, I very much recommend a stay at Verde Camp. Someday I'd like to visit Austin again and when I do I will definitely be staying here again!
