Trip Video: Portugal | Part One
When I play the memories from our first week in Portugal back in my head, it all feels so distant. I struggled quite a lot that week, especially with my inability to carry out the full plans for filming our two week road trip adventure. There were so many moments where my body just wasn't having it and I'd have to nap in the car in some beautiful location instead of getting the shots I wanted.
I'm just over two months post-concussion and I feel almost totally back to normal - finally ready to process those memories in a more coherent way. As I watched my way through all the footage, I noted it was not as comprehensive as I would have liked. However, the final cut of the video does feel like a very accurate representation of my experience - slower than normal song included.
By the second week, I was no longer having random nap attacks and that part of the trip holds a very different set of memories from the first week. As such, I've split our Portugal experience into two separate videos. I hope you enjoy Part One - a slower, more segmented, take on road tripping through the Portugal you won't find in the guidebooks. This video begins with our first stop in Pé da Serra, located in the Sintra region, and concludes in the mountain town of Soajo, close to the northern Spanish border. As always, a full list of the locations featured can be found in the ending credits of the video.
Note: The detail focused among you may notice I've made a change in the font used in the video and opening title sequence. Consider it a little teaser of a project my husband and I have in the works.
