This issue hits home in a very real way for me personally. I’ve been through three miscarriages as part of the journey to grow our family. In two of those miscarriages - abortion care was required in order for me to survive the losses. While living in a region with easy access, where the care needed was never questioned or delayed, both were traumatic experiences. Now imagine what its like when those services aren’t easily accessible or even illegal. More women will die if access to this essential type of healthcare being restricted or inaccessible entirely. This fight is only beginning.
