Shopping List: Gluten Free Thanksgiving Menu

Although I ordered my gluten free turkey a couple of weeks ago, I pretty much forgot about planning our Thanksgiving menu until this week. After looking at the calendar and realizing how quickly one of the best dinners of the year was approaching, I managed to jot down a full shopping list in about five minutes. 

Based on my quickly written shopping list and hosting for the past three years (including my make-up Thankschristmakkah dinner), hosting a great gluten free Thanksgiving this year is going to be a breeze. Plus, this year year I only need to feed a small group of four. 

So just in case you're still looking for some gluten free Thanksgiving options, I thought I'd share what will be on my table this year.

Menu

Maple Sage Roast Turkey & Gravy

Stuffing (and no, I don't put it in the bird)

Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes with all the toppings (in our case; bacon, chives, plain sheep milk's yogurt, and butter)

Roasted Broccoli Soup

Gingersnap Pumpkin Pie (the link goes to a soy milk pumpkin pie, I'll sub rice milk and use gluten free gingersnap cookies for the crust)

Apple Blueberry Pie (the link goes to a regular apple pie recipe, I'll likely just add blueberries to it)

Cranberry Sauce & Lingonberry Preserves (since I can't eat cranberries)

  • 2 boxes unsalted butter (eight sticks)
  • 3 cartons chicken broth
  • 2 gluten free baguettes
  • 2 yellow onions
  • 2 leeks
  • 1 fennel bulb
  • 1 head of garlic
  • 1 bunch rosemary
  • 1 bunch thyme
  • 1 carton of eggs (a dozen)
  • 6 large yukon gold potatoes
  • 1 carton rice milk
  • 1 container coconut butter
  • 1 bunch chives

  • 1 container plain sheep milk yogurt
  • 3 broccoli heads
  • 1 jar honey
  • 1 jar ground cinnamon
