It all started back in my very first apartment during my sophomore year of college. Both the holidays and finals were rapidly approaching and I had a full kitchen at my disposal after a year of living in the dorms with a microwave and mini-fridge. I needed a way to both procrastinate writing papers and to get into the holiday spirit in sunny San Diego. And so, I covered all the flat surfaces in my two bedroom apartment (shared with three other girls) with cookies.

I've done a lot of traveling this year, more than any other year since starting this blog. Through those travels I've found a couple of stand out items that I've just been loving along the way and since the season of gift giving is upon us, I thought I'd share some of my favorites!
Accordion Treats are another family recipe that I remember having during the holidays for about as long as I can remember. If anyone has recommendations on a good green bean cassarole dish, please share!

So I took that as our base, but made a lot of changes. Including with the cooking time, since we had a little eight pound gluten free turkey. This recipe below was excellent for our little turkey and we got an incredibly moist, well and consistently cooked white and dark meat. However, if you're making a larger turkey you might want to adjust the quantities of the ingredients a bit and definitely increase the cooking time.
