Scenes from Canada: Glacier National Park

We had only planned to spend one day in Glacier National Park, however due to a "grizzly problem" every single trail in the park (except for one very steep one-which wasn't possible with my ankle) was either closed or under hiking restrictions. Meaning that you have to hike in groups of four or more and no dogs are allowed. As a party of two and a dog - it was incredibly disappointing but also understandable considering I'm terrified of bears. We picked up a great guide book with had some amazing day hikes (historical routes used by pioneering mountaineers) profiled and drove the short distance through the park, admiring the glaciers from afar.
